Privacy
Orion is an AI voice assistant for Discord, built by PrimeX Official. This page explains what it hears and keeps.
Voice
- Orion announces itself when it joins a voice channel and shows its listening state in the channel status.
- Where a server requires consent (the default), Orion does not decode or process a member’s audio until that member presses “Allow Orion to hear me”.
- While waiting for “Hey Orion”, speech is checked for the wake phrase on Orion’s own server and immediately discarded.
- After the wake phrase, the request audio is sent to the configured speech provider (for example OpenAI or 9jaLingo) to be transcribed, and the text to the AI provider to produce an answer. Those providers process data under their own terms.
- Raw audio is never stored. Transcripts are stored only if a server admin turns on transcript retention, and are deleted after the retention period.
Memory
- Long-term memory is off by default, kept separately for each server, and only saves what a member explicitly asks Orion to remember.
- Members can view and delete their own memories at any time with /orion memory. Server admins see totals, not contents. The Orion operator cannot read them through the owner console.
Website
- Logging in with Discord gives Orion your Discord ID, username, avatar and server list (scopes: identify, guilds). Discord tokens are encrypted and never sent to your browser.
- One essential session cookie keeps you signed in. No advertising or analytics trackers.
Deleting data
Server admins can delete all of a server’s Orion data from Server settings. Removing the bot from a server stops all processing there.
